Why do polio vaccinators come directly to people’s houses?

• Every Nigerian parent that allows their child to be immunized is contributing to a global effort to drive polio from the earth. • The only way to eradicate polio is to ensure that every child receives the polio vaccine multiple times. • This means that across Nigeria and in other polio endemic countries, EVERY CHILD under five must be immunized during EVERY ROUND of national immunization days. • Vaccinators go house-to-house to make sure that every child gets the chance to receive the vaccine.
