Why do sharks attack hummans?

That’s correct. We humans are not on any sharks menu. There are two main reasons humans get attacked. We look like something they would eat. Or we get in their way or do something stupid. I have examples for both. A couple years ago a middle aged woman was swimming with seals on the California coast. She had on a black wet suit. She was attacked by a great white. She later died of a heart attack. The great white had mistaken her for a seal, no wonder. Shark encounters have increased along the Florida coast. More people are spending more time at the beach and many other shallow marine water areas. Even in June more people are out doors on these areas. Well June is the peak month for shark to move in to shallow water to spawn. The majority on encounters are scrapes and small cuts. A few are a bite of one degree or another, rarely a serious injury. People are simply getting in the way of the shark looking for a place to mate. Another thing, there maybe 2000 species of shark. Only about 12
