Why do so many Murders go Unsolved when the victim is a Minority!?

I don’t know about it being a big deal or not, as where I’m from it’s usually on the news and covered about equally when the crime first happens. As far as why so many murders of minorities go unsolved, I think (at least in some black communities in the inner cities) being a witness and speaking out about what you saw has become a bad thing within the culture. To “nark” on another person who is black, when you yourself are black, is considered just wrong. I don’t really know all the background for the reasons why this is, but there has been a lot research and coverage showing that it has become prevalent in some communities. Some rap artists promote it in their music as well. I’m not giving an opinion of it either way, just saying that this might have something to do with why more and more murders are going unsolved. It’s hard to figure out who committed the crime when no one is willing to speak up and provide evidence.
