Why do so many religious people base their beliefs on circular logic?

Your generalizations are rash… and predictable as anyone who is on the outside trying to look in You’re another one harping on about “existence” but if you were so sure, you wouldn’t keep trying to convince yourself. I don’t rely on your circular logic. I had a genuine experience that changed the unbelief that I was happy in. I tried earnestly to find some way out of believing it, coz I knew things would change. I just saw more examples of God in action, and had more personal experiences… All that CONFIRMED the truth of the Bible. You can’t change that…

They base the second assumption off of the first assumption and build on that… it is a lack of understanding in basic logic… Logic must have a conclusion and for that to happen it must be based on fact, not unprovable assumption…

Circular logic? Even by your definition, there is a linear starting position–that the Bible is “undeniable fact.” That you choose to disregard this as credible is your argument, but by your logic here, anyone who argues from whatever source they use is engaging in circular argument. You also are arguing from a position of foundational bias. Your starting place is that the Bible is not a credible source. It happens. What atheists have trouble with, in my opinion, is the idea of paradigms as an explanation for understanding how different people look at the same data and arrive at different conclusions. Regardless of your inability to accept the reality of paradigms, they exist. And you don’t get to force your paradigm on everyone else. You just get to choose your own and try to persuade others.
