Why do some girls get drastic, shitty makeovers on makeover day?
As much as Tyra loves to say it’s because the girls have strong features and strong personalities and thus need bold hair styles, it’s basically for the drama. The bitchiest, whiniest, or most complacent girls get the worst makeovers, therefore providing endless drama with their whining and crying. There are also the theories that it’s: (1) to disable better models so it seems less ridiculous when they don’t win; (2) to take the most arrogant hamsters down a peg (see: Jade of C6); and (3) as a personal test for Tyra to see who “really” wants it by not crying through a heinous makeover. Or, it could be that Tyra is just a sadist.
