Why do some people consider prostitution to be a victimless crime?

The argument for it is that its between consenting adults. That’s the hype you get from the crowd who want to legalize it or leave them alone. Agreed, usually the johns are thoroughly consenting. It’s questionable about the girls. I cannot believe that a woman would be a prostitute, if she had any other real options. Many of them are single mothers and you can’t raise children on a waitress’ wages. Prostitution does nothing for one’s self-esteem. They are in danger every time they hit the street and are victimized in many ways (since others have said it, I will not repeat it). Many do it to feed a drug habit and that’s a whole other issue. And then, there are the pimps. I think pimping should be an executable offense.
