Why do some people sell Avon on market stalls & at car boot sales?
All our Avon Representatives buy and sell Avon merchandise in their own name and are not employees of Avon. Distribution of the goods purchased from us, is purely a matter for the Representatives. We are aware that there are some Representatives who sell products they have purchased from Avon, on market stalls and at car boot sales. We would, of course, prefer Representatives to sell through our traditional selling channels e.g. door to door or to family and friends. However due to the self employed status of Representatives we are unable to direct them as to how to conduct their business. We appreciate that the activities of these Representatives may be upsetting to other Representatives in their locality, but legally we cannot prevent Representatives selling this way.
