Why do some recycling facilities only recycle corrugated cardboard and not other kinds of cardboard?

In other words, "corrugated" cardboard achieves a sort of thickness by having he middle layer shaped to occupy more space than it normally would. It is, however, still three sheets of paper. Other cardboard is multiple sheets of paper that make a thicker, sturdier item that could damage the recycler's shredder blades.  more
