There are crores of people living in different places and different states and more than 70 percent of the population are eligible voters and it is unimaginable to conduct such a huge exercise like election at one stroke taking into consideration, the security aspects, availability of requisite manpower to administer the electoral process etc., As such, the government had appointed a separate commission called – Election Commission and the commission starts conducting the elections on due dates.
