Why do we put down sick animals but expect people to suffer till the bitter end?
With people, I think its more of being selfish.We want to keep “grandma” with us as long as possible,and we believe that technology,medications and nursing homes are the best way to accomplish that.Laws dictate how we can end our lives.It’s illegal to commit suicide regardless of the reasons.Yet people with terminal illness/diseases with 6 months or less of life can choose to go with Hospice Care.This is for people who want to stop medical intervention and die when their time comes(pain free).Hospice tries to make the end as pain free as possible.I remember Dr.Kavorkian(spelling) who was trying to have assisted end of life being a choice.People had a fit and he spent time in jail for “helping” a few people succeed in it.A lot of people think time will cure everything.Or they don’t want to have regrets with a “what if” it/they could of been healed,cured,etc… When it comes to animals/pets…I believe it’s more of an “I” can’t stand to see them suffer because people have a different bon
