Why do Women Experience Irregular Menstrual Cycles?
Women may experience irregular menstrual cycles for many reasons. An irregular period cycle may occur due to problems with the woman’s thyroid, if she is under stress, if the woman lacks an adequate amount of iron in her body (anemia), if she has problems with her weight, or if she partakes in vigorous exercise. Most young women begin to get their periods when they are thirteen years old and continue to get their periods until the approximate age of fifty.
