Why does apple juice freeze faster than orange, grape and cranberry juices?
Different liquids have different freezing points based on their compositions. The different molecules and concentrations of the molecules in the juice can raise and lower the freezing point. Apples juice has less particles and higher freezing point therefore freezes faster while which orange juice has more particles and has a lower freezing point. Cranberry juice and grape juice have larger particles in suspension in the juices thus also have lower freezing points than apple juice.
I have been practicing freezing orange juice for several years now. For freezing, you can use a cardboard box, plastic bottle or glass container. I prefer to freeze orange juice in a carton box, it seems to me this is the most environmentally friendly varoian. But you can freeze in whatever container you like. Many answers to questions about freezing food can be found on the Can you freeze blog , where I have seen many recommendations for freezing food.
