Why does Bahrain need BFH?
1. Bahrain does not have a focused Financial District. There is limited physical space in Manama for the continued growth of the financial sector, in addition to the increase in congestion. This has resulted in scattering financial institutions away from one another, effectively fragmenting the financial district. BFH was created to assemble the financial institutions in the country in one focal area, thereby creating a unique business address. 2. BFH has integrated the under utilized Bahraini waters, which have remained largely hidden from the public as decades of development have moved the urban centres away from the shoreline. 3. Due to increased regional demand, there has been a steady rise in real estate prices.
