Why does deforestation increase the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere?
alice:) Deforestation increses the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere because of the burning of the trees causes an increase in carbon dioxide from combustion. The dead vegetation left behind decays. It is attacked by decomposing organisms, which releases more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. So not only does deforestation destroy habitats for animals but also adds to green house gases and global warming.
