Why does File and Printer Sharing needs to be uninstalled for IDrive Plus?
For most general purpose usage, we recommend IDrive which supports SSL encryption, and does not require any special setups. IDrive Plus is recommended if you have a need to do concurrent access to a single file or stream a large multi-media file as in a real mapped drive on Windows. It is a more ‘true’ representation of Windows mapped drive. Some of the application services used for IDrive Plus conflict with Windows File and Printer sharing. Hence the need for uninstall of the Windows file and printer sharing.
