Why does Gimme use solid pine sheathing instead of OSB or CDX?
In terms of function, any type of laminated woodchip product can delaminate or experience material failure when exposed to water. This can happen during the construction process or when other elements of the building envelope fail. On the other hand, solid pine sheathing remains structurally sound while processing moisture and can dry without structural damage to the material.
