Why does it seem that so many profession athletes die young?

Besides steroids, I think a lot of them have found they are suddenly in the money early on in their careers and they don’t know how to handle it. So they are out partying like they will live forever and think they are invicible. They aren’t, of course, and thus you see a lot of them get into stupid accidents, commit suicide, over-excess of just about everything. There too, I think the strain of professional sports makes them work harder at their chosen career, and you see some of them suddenly die of heart failure, etc. from existing conditions they didn’t know they had before, that suddenly appear because of the extra strain they are putting on themselves. Combined with drugs and booze…not always the case, but sometimes…it’s a killer. It’s a fast lifestyle, I assume.
