Why does my diamond python snake squeeze and squirm when im handling him???
No need to take him to a vet- this behavior is completely natural. A Diamond is a constrictor, as are all Pythons. This is what they do. It is probably a defense mechanism because the snake is frightened and is still a baby. He will outgrow this as he gets more used to being handled and gets to know you & your routines. He is just trying to protect himself by burying his head away from perceived danger. Nice choice on the Diamond. They are exquisite looking creatures. Hope this helps.
