Why does my knee swell up and make walking painful after crossing my legs?

0

I have had chronic problems with my knees since I was a teenager due to injuries and abuse. I also have problems when I place sideways pressure on my knees for an extended period. If you are experiencing swelling etc, you should get your doctor to refer you to an orthapedic surgeon for a diagnosis. It is possible that you have an injury that you keep making worse each time this happens and it never heals properly. You may need physiotherapy, or possibly even surgery. If you leave this untreated it could lead to more serious problems down the road making you totally unable to walk, so you’re better off to get it checked now. The worst that could happen is they tell you to just stop crossing your legs.
