Why does my paint peel off or “bubble” on my Stikfas figure?
One possible cause of this is the “release agent” that Stikfas figures have when pulled out of the box. When the Stikfas figures are created in the factory they have a thin layer of liquid all around them that helps keep them from sticking to the mould when they are taken out. This “release agent” is often still on the plastic when you pull it out of the box and assemble your figure. Since it is meant to keep things from sticking to the plastic, it keeps your paint from sticking as well. The most common advice for this issue is to wash your Stikfas parts in warm, slightly soapy water to remove the release agent before painting.
