Why does not menstrual blood clot?
It’s not all blood. It has some tissue in it. It does clot, however. When it sits in the vaginal opening, say at night or if you wear a pad not a tampon, it has time to clot. Your body clots because it is trying to stop the bleed. It does not want to stop this “bleeding”. It clots due to sitting in air when in the vault, not platelets like normal bleeding.
