Why does oil keep clogging up my spark plugs in my 1997 Honda Accord?

Honda engines are built very well. If the car has over 100,000 miles it could be time for valve seals or piston rings. This would only be true if the oil was not changed at regular intervals. Another possibility is using the wrong heat range plug. The right plug is needed so it burns hot enough to clean off deposits. You should do a compression test on the engine, or a cylinder leak down test to see if it hold compression for the correct amount of time. Make sure you are using the correct viscosity oil and don’t use additives. Look inside the valve cover through the filler hole to make sure oil is draining down when the engine is running. it should not pool around the valves. It may just be valve seals if everything else checks out and they can be replaced without taking the head off.
