Why does Quality Check display health care organizations that are not accredited or certified by The Joint Commission?

A. We have added organizations that are not accredited or certified by The Joint Commission to Quality Check in order to provide a more complete inventory of health care organizations. Quality Check is one of the tools the public uses when making health care decisions. This capability expands Quality Check’s usefulness as a health care directory, while still continuing to provide the accreditation/certification decision and date, performance information and National Patient Safety Goal compliance for Joint Commission-accredited/certified organizations.
