Apple’s version of Java uses more RAM per image than Sun’s (Microsoft), and this can sometimes cause ROES to freeze or crash when working with large numbers of images. To get around this issue, we have made a version of ROES available which allots a higher amount of RAM to the Java application. We recommend using this version of ROES only if you are experiencing issues working with images.
