Mon Apr 27, 10:45 am ET GENEVA (AFP) – The World Health Organization’s emergency committee will meet later Monday to decide if the alert level for the swine flu outbreak should be raised, a WHO spokeswoman said. The meeting, originally scheduled on Tuesday, had been brought forward to 4.00 pm (1400 GMT), said WHO spokeswoman Fadela Chaib. The experts were due to examine if the WHO should increase its rating of the seriousness of the pandemic potential from the current level three to level four — which would indicate a “significant increase in risk of a pandemic.” The move came after Mexico said the probable death toll from the epidemic was 103, the United States declared a public emergency and the European Union called for urgent talks to confront the threat. While the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, GA (CDC) is still reporting 20 cases of the new Swine Flu in the U.S., there is some question as to whether they are merely behind the facts, or actually concealing the truth because the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland says that there are actually 40 confirmed cases in the U.S. One major question many people have which isn’t being answered by the government reports or the mainstream media is just why the Swine Flu may be killing the healthiest individuals rather than the weak and elderly. People have no defenses built up and when infected the body’s own defensive systems are triggered to a powerful extent. Babies and older adults have weak immune systems which is why they are vulnerable to complications from the usual yearly flu – they tend to get pneumonia and

It doesn’t. Young, healthy people are not more susceptible to swine flu. However, so far, most of the reported cases in the United States have been young people. That is largely because they were students who recently returned from spring break trips to Mexico. That doesn’t mean that young people are more susceptible, though. It just so happens that they have been effected first. Sources: It is my opinion.

A young, healthy person’s immune systems can react so strongly to the virus that it overreacts and actually attacks the body’s healthy organs and systems. This makes the healthy 15 to 60 year old individual the most likely to actually succumb to the flu. Sources: http://newsblaze.com/story/20090427092841mcco.nb/topstory.
