Why does the fuse for the 12 Volt receptacle keep blowing?

0

The intended purpose of the 12 Volt receptacle is to provide power for charging small portable devices such as MP3 Players and Cell Phones. It has a very low amperage rated in-line fuse to allow the majority of the power supply wattage to be dedicated to the stereo amplifier. If you attempt to use the receptacle to power a high demand device such as a Q-Beam spotlight, the fuse is going to continually blow. Please refrain from using the receptacle for any purpose other than for which it was designed. Failure to do so by replacing the factory installed fuse with a higher rated one could result in permanent damage to the unit thus voiding your warranty.
