Why does the home screen change back to default on every reboot?
There is an annoying “feature” of the T-Mobile Dash which reloads the default home screen on each reboot, using a MyFaves startup program that is always started on reboot. This was added to the Dash as of the WM6 upgrade. Some people have worked around this problem by renaming the T-Mobile Blue layout files in “Application Data/Home”. This problem was discussed in this thread. * Update * Here’s an easier solution which was suggested for users who have the MyFaves service: Go into Start>MyFavs>Menu>MyFavs Settings>2) Hide MyFavs Contacts on Homescreen (thanks aussiedog!) * Update2 * Some additional instructions for renaming the T-Mobile Blue layout file: 1. Identify what the default homepage is that’s overriding the Facade setting — most likely this is T-MobileBlue.home.xml 2. Sync the Smartphone 3. After syncing, click the Explore button on the MS Active Sync or use Windows Explorer 4. Choose “My Device” (the name may be different on your computer) 5. Go into Applications Data/Home 6.
