Why does the Quality Assurance Committee not provide a list of acceptable workshops?
The Quality Assurance Committee has provided a description of the modal activity in each of the three categories. Consistent with other requirements of registrants, the general principle and criteria are clearly communicated, with the onus being on the registrant to document how the criteria has been met. The closer the activity is to the modal, the less likely it is that supporting and clarifying information will be requested from the registrant in order that the committee can determine if it meets the criteria. The committee is aware that the practice of psychology is broad and does not want to be overly restrictive or authoritarian by providing a list of acceptable workshops.
