Why does Tim Burton use Helena Bonham Carter & Johnny Depp in various films?

They are talented, I love all of them! 😀 But Helena and Johnny really get into the character their playing, they have the right emotion, characteristics, etc, which is what a real actor/actress needs. You see Helena as Charlie Bucket’s mum in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and she’s a sweet and innocent mum, yet in Harry Potter she’s the evil witch, and so you never see her as the same person in films, I think she’s brilliant. Johnny Depp is the same, to be honest. I love him too. These are the reasons Tim uses them in lots of films, and all three of them are close in real life, being Tim and Helena are partners have kids, and Johnny Depp is the godfather of them, which is awesome.

Helena Bonham Carter is his wife, she also fits many of his roles well. Some of the Tim Burton characters that johnny depp has played Tim wrote with him in mind in the first place, they are very good friends.

Tim Burton defined Depp’s career and they admire each other. Burton prefers to work with people he knows (a lot of directors do for shorthand) and Depp is incredibly bankable, so it’s a no-brainer. Bonham-Carter is his wife, so presumably he also admires her work and doesn’t want to get grief at home!!!
