Why does water move in the toilet bowl during wind storms?
Many homes have a pipe out the roof that allows for gases from waste to escape rather than come back into the house through the toilet of sink. When wind passes over the pipe a suction occurs that makes the water in your toilet water “slosh about” in the bowl. Check out “Bernoulli effect” for more details. It’s the same principle that allows planes to fly.
