Look for a hospital affiliated pain clinic, and ask him for a referral. It is common knowledge now that MS causes sometimes severe pain as the covering of your electrical wiring is wasting away leaving the internal electrical mechanism exposed. NEVER minimize your pain. Be as descriptive as you can and write it down to give to him. Bring a male friend or your father when you go. I've found that Doctors are more careful when there's a witness to not blow off your pain for fear of angering the male (and for not treating you-see the end of this why). Sad, but you want treatment. Ask your state AMA association or best hospital to recommend a pain/MS doctor. Doctors who are members of The American College of Physicians have been more open than I others have met. My doctor is head of my state's pain society so he's highly informed & lectures all over.
