Why don some Black people understand that education/knowledge solves everything?

In response to what users have said about generalizing: The questioner did make a point to say “some Black people”… I.e. he is not generalizing, and therefore I’m inclined to agree with him. In response to Xaiver’s comments: Contrary to popular opinion, most black people lead working-class (or better) lives. Likewise, most live outside of the inner city. According to statistics, the number of black owned businesses increased 45% from 1997 to 2002, a growth rate considerably higher than for any other ethnicity. Additionally, research indicates that by 1969, black and white persons who came from the same socioeconomic and academic backgrounds showed no difference in their average incomes. Clearly, education is key. Certainly I’m not claiming that everyone has easy unlimited and immediate access to education. Nonetheless, it is the key to escaping impoverished and oppressed circumstances…. And we should all therefore strive for it.
