Why don women get their uteruss removed when they are done having kids?
I think the biggest reason why women avoid having their uterus removed is that it is major surgery. I don’t think that many women would want to have that type of surgery as a form of birth control when there are so many other options that are so much less invasive. The other major reason is women don’t want to go through early menopause. Menopause in general isn’t really pleasant. It affects so many things in your life: your skin, your hair, your sex drive- basically anything affected by hormones will be affected. It seems like a huge change of life just to avoid a period.
