Why full size photos instead of thumbnails on the photo tours?

0

We considered using thumbnails to speed up the loading process. We’ve managed, through some technical magic, to keep the full-size photo files pretty small (10-15k). So our logic is that a page with half a dozen full-size photos (50-70k) will download in less time than it would take to load the page with thumbnails and to decide which photo to see enlarged. And then the visitor would have to click the thumbnail, wait for the photo to download, and then click back to the thumbnail page, and then, and then, and then. You get the idea. Hope our choice works well for you.
