Why has the name Torco been dropped from the NHRA event scheduled for Richmond, Virgina October 10-12?
The NHRA media spokeperson I just talked to said “unfortunately I’m not able to comment on that.” Typical NHRA. He said they name events whatever they like and that was the name they chose. I then told Mr. NHRA Media Person that most races have title sponsors for the event and that Torco Race Fuels was the title sponsor until a couple days ago. I asked him again why the name was changed from the Torco Race Fuels NHRA Nationals to NHRA Virginia Nationals and again he siad he couldn’t comment.
