Why have turkey eggs never been marketed like chicken and duck eggs?

I am a former chef from Canada and have had turkey eggs and many more, the second person is right, they are not raised for egg production and those who are they are used predominately for breeding stock, and turkeys only lay a few a week, I got them here from a vendor in our Kensington Market, they sold turkey, duck, goose, quail, chicken and even plover, Peruvian blue and green, ostrich and emu. But they raised the fowl for organic meat production, so it may be available in your area but at a smaller farmers market. They are slightly larger than a large hen egg and like duck eggs a bit richer in taste.
