Why have we found dinosaur bones millions of years old but no bones that link animals to humans?

There are lots of bones which link animals to humans. There are a whole series of intermediate forms which have been found between our ape-like ancestors of millions of years ago and modern humans. Yes, there are gaps in the fossil record, but that’s inevitable when you consider that only a tiny percentage of bones become fossils, and only a tiny percentage of potentially fossil-containing rocks have been dug up and sifted through. It could easily be argued that we’re very lucky that the fossil record is as complete as it is.

We have. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_hum… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fos… The first link is our family tree, including offshoots that probably didn’t directly lead to us, sort of like how mom’s cousins are relatives, but not in our direct ancestry. It goes back over 6 million years, so past when we split off from the chimps and either approaching or passing when we split off from gorillas; I’ve forgotten when that was supposed to happen. The second link is the list of fossil primates. It’s not laid out as nicely as the first link, in my opinion, but it looks like that’ll take you from us on back to the little rodent-like things that were around when the dinosaurs were.

The known human lineage is: Ardipithicus ramidus 5 to 4 million years ago Australopithecus anamensis 4.2 to 3.9 million years ago Australopithecus afarensis 4 to 2.7 million years ago Australopithecus africanus 3 to 2 million years ago Australopithecus robustus 2.2 to 1.6 million years ago Homo habilis 2.2 to 1.6 million years ago Homo erectus 2.0 to 0.4 million years ago Homo sapiens archaic 400 to 200 thousand years ago Homo sapiens neandertalensis 200 to 30 thousand years ago Homo sapiens sapiens 200 thousand years ago to present http://www.onelife.com/evolve/manev.html Of these the “Homo” shows our genus. Those that preceded us aren’t However if you want to name them kin…. Then there’s the scientific stuff of DNA, blood typing skeleton structure and so on.

Scientists have found bones of extinct apes which they believe to link animals with humans. They’ve also made frauds and hoaxes that link humans with animals. However, there has been nothing found that legitimately links humans with animals.
