Why have you only used NASC/GARNet array data and not other data sets, such as the Stanford microarray data?

The NASC/GARNet data came from total RNA samples supplied by many researchers which were then labelled, hybridised to arrays and analysed using a standard procedure by staff at NASC. This means this is a homogeneous data set, with the array results more readily comparable with each other (see link below) than with other array data produced by different groups or from different array platforms.
