For a new cultivar to be listed on to the STRI list. it needs to perform as good as or better than the cultivars in the top third of the list. Abernile missed being listed by a narrow margin, and unfortunately the attributes of its unique stay green characteristic are not part of the assessment. Question: Germination time for timothy grass Answer: 14-21 DAYS Question: Hi hope you can help.Im need to know how to prepare my exsisting lawn ready for seeeding so I can have a putting green.I dont have time to dig up my old turf so should I just kill it off and then cover the area with rootzone. Is this ok? Many thanks Answer: Best method is to start from scratch, but if you do not want to disturb the existing ground then yes kill off the existing vegetation.Ensure that there is no surface compaction that may lead to later drainage problems once the additional rootzone is applied.
