Why is Capital Metro eliminating the voucher on request service?
Presently the voucher on request program is available only to ambulatory and persons willing to transfer out of their wheelchair to board a taxi. Due to the limited number of resources available to persons unable to transfer from their mobility devices (i.e. power wheelchairs or scooters), we cannot guarantee the same capacity or service levels that are being delivered to our ambulatory passengers. This creates the possibility of a discriminatory practice.
