Cetol 1 is flexible and allows the wood to breath, yet repels water so that it beads on the surface (very important in protecting the wood. Cetol 1 also has a fungicide to help protect it against fungal growth (important in humid or coastal climates) as well as contains a UV inhibitor that protects the wood from graying due to exposure to the sun.
