Why is Christian Friendship so important?

0

Let us not confuse Christianity from friendship.

Friendship is a term that defines relationship between or among individuals who share common interests, outlooks in life, and goals. The main highlights are to have someone to lean on and be with all throughout the course of life at any costs (through thick and thin).

On other hand, Christianity refers to a lifestyle which is absolutely patterned after the doctrines of Christ. As you know, doctrines of Christ uphold the principle of LOVE which embodies a calling to love one another…. even our own enemies.

From the context above, you can conclude that friendship covers only the people that you like while Christianity covers people whom you like and don’t like. Indeed, it is more than friendship in essence.

So if you think friendship is important then, it is wiser to say that  Christianity has far better scope in building a wonderful relationship. Indeed, don’t just stop at being friendly but progress into loving the unlovable too.
