Why is communication important in a relationship?
It’s not just important, it is essential. Especially in older relationships. People by nature fall into comfort. They take things for granted. The thing that boggles my mind is that humans are an ever changing creature, so how we fall into this comfort is beyond me. We should always be on our toes. If a couple does not communicate with one another, how is one or the other to know of changes in moods, likes, dislikes, wants, etc. One party will think everything is on cruise control while the other party is going silently insane (not literally). This, I believe, is what leads to infidelity. Party one is comfortable, party two wants some excitement, something different. You can see where that goes.
