However, people often seek happiness using the wrong approaches or misunderstands the differences between momentary bliss and long-term ultimate happiness. Momentary bliss is changeable and does not last for long period. On the other hand, long-term ultimate bliss is eternal and unchangeable and this is Enlightenment. Thus, since the enlightenment is the ultimate blissful state that the enlightenment becomes the ultimate aim in Buddhism.
