Why is hemp not grown in the United States anymore?

0

– The advancement in petroleum based & chemicals that were to make things cheaper drove the agricultural business in another direction. Politics & the insistence on the few to tell the many that marijuana is hemp & not medicine has perpetuated a continued ignorance on the subject – Almost all nations grow commercial industrial hemp & the US still imports it. Hemp is listed twice as a strategic commodity by Executive decree by President Clinton. What can I do to help revive this agri-business? – Contact your local elected representative to inform him about HR1866 the Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2009 that needs Congressional support. All politicians need to say “know” before they so “no” or I don’t know.
