Oils packaged in plastic bottles or clear glass can deteriorate and reduce the associated health benefits. Plastic packaging is also prone to dissolving phthalates into the oil. Phthalates are an oil based compound commonly used in the manufacturing of plastics. Current research has implicated these compounds as a cause of cancer, liver and kidney damage, damage to reproductive organs and mimicking oestrogen in both males and females. Glass is definitely best!
