Why is homeostasis important in living systems?

0

Homeostasis is important because all living organisms have to have a stable internal environment to function normally. Organisms that are unable to balance its internal conditions with its external (which means no homeostasis) can become ill and die. For example, if polar bears didn’t have anything to protect them and keep them warm, their bodies would basically freeze and reactions in their body can’t be processed. They would die.
