Why is Hunter Douglas making the conversion to Universal Rotator Rail (URR) on Silhouette window shadings?
The Universal Rotator Rail system allows for wider and longer shadings and eliminates the need for any component to come into contact with the fabric. This reduces fabric wear and discoloration, and decreases operating noise that is inherent in the existing rotator (RR03) system. Since there are no springs in the new URR limit assembly, one of the primary sources of fabric snags and holes has been removed. In addition, the new rounder profile should help to reduce the occurrence of fabric wrinkling that is associated with the existing lobed rail. In general, the Universal Rotator system will improve the quality and functioning of Silhouette shadings.
