Why is implementation of the TRICARE Young Adult program taking so long?
Although implementing a new program often takes more than a year from authorization, TRICARE Young Adult Standard/Extra is operating on an accelerated implementation schedule. Yet to be determined: • all the details of eligibility; • coverage and costs; • software and systems changes; • updates to DoD eligibility databases; and • development of educational materiasl.Please check www.tricare.mil/tya for more information as it becomes available.
