When you are a fan it becomes tribal. you live and breathe football and that’s all you think about until the day of the game. Once you are at the game you are sucked in and nothing else matters but your team winning. Me I am disappointed if my team does not do well others want to take out vengeance on the other supporters because they do not know how to deal with their anger. I the 1970’s and early 1980’s violence at football matches threatened to kill the beautiful game but between the football clubs , the police and the true fans things got better and now in the UK lot of families go to the game and support their teams. How ever not all the trouble has gone away. Rival fans still clash – a lot of it is pre organised by the rival firms but at least the thugs are fighting amongst themselves.
